Welcome to the fifth annual Home, Garden & More show.  The show will be open from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Saturday and Sunday.  The location is the Vermilion Stadium and Curling Rink  located at 5514 College Drive. 

We are still in the process of booking Garden experts and Home Renovation &  Decor specialists.  As we receive confirmations we will pass the information on to you.  We are very excited to announce that once again local  lily grower Fred Fellner has agreed to do a presentation.  If you know of any one that might be interested in presenting please contact the Chamber of Commerce at 780-853-6593.

There will be a number of things for your little one to do at the show from Bouncies to Face Painting.  So bring your kids out for some fun while you shop.

Our theme, Celebrating Women’s Strengths promises to be an uplifting event, filled with information sessions, dynamic speakers and fabulous displays!  Our focus will be on women and the rolls that they play.

This is our Centennial year so you won’t want to miss the Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament.  This year it will be held on May 25, 2012, at 2 P.M.  Immediately following dinner will be the Annual General Meeting.  Your registration fee includes 9 holes of golf and a delicious steak dinner. Registration starts at 1 P.M. tee-off at 2 P.M. with a shotgun start.

Nomination Form 2012

Candy Cane Countdown was its usual hit and retailers were happy to see quite a few out of town shoppers.  The Grand Prize winner of $2000 is Kristy Reiniger and the two Early Bird winners of $250 are Karen Gannon and Jean Clark. 

Our community raised $2894 during the Festival of Trees and supported many important organizations.  Trees were donated by Tim Horton’s, EastAlta Co-op, Long’s Drug Mart, Integra Tire, Leckie & Assoc., 1st Vermilion Scouts, Vermilion Standard, CIBC, Order of the Eastern Star, and Paw Prints.  Receiving charities were Santa’s Anonymous, VES Hot Lunch Program, Vermilion Food Bank, 1st Vermilion Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, Breast Cancer, and Stollery Children’s Hospital. 

Looking forward to seeing on the parade route.  Passports for next year will be available Nov 26, 2012.  

There was a great turn out for the 47th Annual Farm Curl, it was nice to see all the familiar faces.  With 34 teams and 72 sponsors the bonspeil was a great success once again.
